Judith Drews
Judith Drews (* 1973 in Heide ) is a German designer, illustrator and author of children's books .
Life
Judith Drews studied illustration and communication design with a focus on illustration at the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Hamburg. Judith Drews lives as a freelance illustrator in Berlin and has been working with Kristina Brasseler and Andrea Peter in the Atelier Flora studio she founded since 2010. Judith Drews was a board member of the illustrators' organization from 2006 to 2010.
From 2008 to 2014 she was a member of the Nominating Body of the Illustrators Organization for the world's largest children's and youth literature prize, the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Prize . Judith Drews has been a member of the jury of the Reading Foundation (magazine seal) since 2012 . She has been publishing children's books since 2008. Many of her books have already been translated into other languages.
