Werner Kubitza

Werner Kubitza (born February 5, 1919 in Breslau ; † November 2, 1995 in Eilat , Israel ) was a German educator and politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and graduating from secondary school in Breslau in 1938 , Kubitza was drafted into the Wehrmacht . From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier in the Luftwaffe , most recently with the rank of lieutenant.

After the end of the war, Kubitza studied physical education, German, English, religious and intellectual history as well as philosophy at the University of Erlangen from 1946 to 1950 . He finished his studies in 1950 with the first state examination and in 1951 with the second state examination for higher education. He then entered the school service as a teacher, initially worked in Passau and in 1956 switched to the high school in Lohr am Main . He was appointed professor in 1960 and has been a ministerial advisor in the Federal Ministry of the Interior since 1970 .

Political party

Kubitza joined the FDP Bavaria in 1953 and was chairman of the FDP district of Lower Franconia from 1957 to 1974 . Until 1983 he was the first chairman of the Federal Association of Liberal Parents and Educators .

Kubitza was from 1960 to 1966 and from 1981 to 1993 council member of the city ​​of Lohr / Main . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1969. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of the FDP Bavaria . From 1974 to 1978 he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament .
