Werner Lint (born December 4, 1978 in St. Pölten ) is a former handball player from Austria .

Career

Born in St. Pölten, he began his active professional career at UHC Stockerau, with whom he participated in the EHF City Cup in the 1999/00 season . From his move from 2000 to 2007, the 1.93-meter-tall circular runner then ran for HC Linz AG . With the Upper Austrians he took part in the EHF Cup in both 2002/03 and 2003/04 . Due to a lucrative offer from Union Leoben, which was playing in the Handball Bundesliga Austria at the time, he moved to Styria for a year. This year Union Leoben was first in the basic season of the Bundesliga and rose via the HLA promotion playoff. After that year he moved to UHK Krems . In the first season with the Lower Austrians, he was able to gain international experience in the EHF Challenge Cup . In 2009/10 he was able to win the ÖHB Cup with the Wachau region and thereby participate in the EHF Cup Winners Cup in 2010/11 . After the 2013/14 season , the St. Pöltner ended his career.

For the Austrian national team , he completed 32 international matches by December 2010 , in which he scored 44 goals; he is in the extended squad for the 2011 World Cup .
