Werner Porsch

Werner Porsch (born February 25, 1915 in Speichersdorf ; † February 25, 2004 ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1934, Porsch first worked as a radio employee. He then studied German. He was drafted into the Wehrmacht , was a Hitler Youth leader and took part in World War II as a soldier . At the end of the war he was taken prisoner, from which he was released in 1946. After the end of the war, he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter, which he completed with a journeyman's examination. He later passed the master craftsman's examination and had been working as an independent master carpenter in Speicherersdorf since 1950 . He was also head master of the carpenters' guild from 1965 to 1968.

Political party

Porsch joined the FDP on January 1, 1957 . From 1960 to 1972 he was chairman of the FDP district of Upper Palatinate , from 1972 to 1976 chairman of the FDP district of Upper Franconia and from 1972 to 1974 chairman of the FDP district association of Bayreuth . From 1960 to 1979 he was a member of the state board of the FDP Bavaria . In 1978 he was appointed honorary chairman of the FDP district of Upper Palatinate.

MP

From 1952 to 1960, Porsch was a councilor of the Speichersdorf community, from 1956 to 1972 district councilor of the Kemnath district and since 1972 a member of the Bayreuth district council . He was a member of the German Bundestag from July 27, 1967, when he replaced the late Member of Parliament Thomas Dehler , until 1969. He entered parliament through the Bavarian State List.

Public offices

Porsch served as deputy mayor from 1952 to 1960 and as mayor of the municipality of Speichersdorf from 1969 to 1978. From 1966 to 1972 he was deputy district administrator of the Kemnath district.
