Werner Freiherr von Schleinitz (born September 6, 1842 in Braunschweig , † September 5, 1905 in Blankenburg ) was district administrator and member of the German Reichstag .

Werner von Schleinitz was a son of the Brunswick State Minister Freiherr Wilhelm von Schleinitz († November 3, 1856) and his wife Charlotte von Schrader (* October 7, 1802).

He married Selma Bresselau von Bressensdorf on September 18, 1876 in Munich (* July 26, 1844, † June 16, 1902 in Hersfeld), a daughter of Felix Bresselau von Bressensdorf and Auguste von Bary (de Bary).

Life

Schleinitz attended grammar school in Braunschweig and the universities of Heidelberg and Berlin . In Heidelberg he had been a member of the Corps Vandalia since 1861 . In 1864 he became a court auscultator in Berlin and in 1866 a government trainee in Arnsberg . From 1871 to 1875 he studied history and literature in Munich. He then returned to the Prussian civil service and became district administrator in Karthaus on October 1, 1876 and in Hersfeld on September 1, 1884 . He held this office until his death. In 1894 he was given the status of a Privy Councilor.

From 1890 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel 6 Hersfeld , Rotenburg (Fulda) , Hünfeld and the German Conservative Party .
