Wesemann is a German family name.

One of the earliest documented mentions of the name goes back to Curd Wesemann, who was titled in 1401 as "the archbishop of Mainz and the city urfehde and in future wants to seek justice before the bailiff of Rusteberg and the council of Duderstadt". It is probably a dwelling name in -mann, Wese- is a Middle Low German form of meadow, so it means something like “Located on the meadow”.
