Wesley John , actually John Wesley Pantejo Managbanag (born October 2, 1968 in the Philippines - † November 11, 2017 in Glendale , California ) was a Filipino - American actor .

Life

Wesley John was born in the Philippines . From the age of seven, John practiced acting and singing. At the age of 16 he left the island nation to study English and acting. This was made possible by a scholarship from Spring Arbor University in the US state of Michigan . From 1991 to 1992 he attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles , which he left with an associate degree .

In 2002 he first appeared in a film as a supporting role in The Scorpion King . In Constantine , published in 2005, he was also seen in a small role. This was followed by appearances in TV series such as The Unit - A Question of Honor , Ned's Ultimate School Madness , Chuck , The Forgotten - The Truth Never Dies or Law & Order: LA . John took on a bigger role in the daily soap Reich und Schön . There he played a ship's captain in a total of four episodes. This was followed by other roles in TV series such as Common Law or Black and low-budget films.
