Wesley Krotz (born August 31, 1995 in Cape Town ) is a South African ice hockey player who has played for the Parry Sound Islanders in the Canadian junior league GMHL since 2015 .

Career

Wesley Krotz began his career with the Cape Town Rams in his hometown of Cape Town . In 2011 he moved to local rivals Cape Town Penguins , for whom he played until 2013. He then went to Cape Town Storm for a year . Then he returned to the penguins. For all three clubs he played in the Western Province Ice Hockey League . In 2015 he took the plunge to North America, where he has been on the ice with the Parry Sound Islanders in the Canadian Junior League GMHL.

International

Krotz was initially on the ice at the U18 Junior World Championships in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 in Division III for South Africa. He was named the best player of his team in both 2011 and 2013. He also took part in the U20 World Championships in 2014 and 2015, also in Division III.

With the men's national team , he took part in the world title bouts of Division III in 2013 in his hometown of Cape Town and rose to Division II by winning the tournament there with the Springboks . In Division II he played at the 2014 and 2015 World Championships .
