West Carrollton is a city ( City ), with about 13,000 residents in Montgomery County , Ohio , United States . The city is located 10 km southwest of Dayton and is one of the metropolitan area.
history
The place was founded in 1830 under the name Carrollton. Due to many missed mailings due to confusion with Carrollton , the county seat of Carroll County in Ohio, the geographical allocation was later added.
Sports
The city is home to Dayton Dutch Lions FC football club , a founding member of the professional men's league USL Championship . The club plays in the USL League Two in 2019 and is also represented by a women's team in the USL W-League .
