The Nizina River is a 65 km long right tributary of the Chitina River in southern Alaska (USA).
River course
It rises from the Nizina Glacier in the Wrangell Mountains . The Nizina River initially flows 17 miles south. After 10 km the West Fork Nizina River joins the Nizina River on the right. After another 10 km the Chitistone River meets the river on the left. The Nizina River turns to the west and finally flows 19 km southwest of McCarthy into the Chitina River 15 km above the confluence on the right side the Kennicott River meets the Nizina River.
West Fork Nizina River
The West Fork Nizina River is a right tributary of the Nizina River. The river is fed by the West Fork Glacier . The West Fork Nizina River flows 11.6 km south-southeast before meeting the Nizina River. The river name was documented by FH Moffit of the US Geological Survey (USGS) in 1922 .
