The Wetmore Peak is a 2,120 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Admiralty Mountains it rises 10 km east-northeast of Mount Bierle in the northern part of the Lyttelton Range .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the American biologist Cliff Wetmore, who was part of the United States Antarctic Research Program between 1963 and 1964 was active on the Hallett station .
