action

The serial killer Claude Whitman in San Francisco committed nine brutal ritual murders. When he is sentenced to death in the gas chamber, however, instead of repentance, he shows only contempt and threatens revenge. Inspector Don Morell, who caught the perpetrator, subsequently separates from his wife, lawyer Charlotte Hart-Morrel, who was also involved in the case. After the execution of the death penalty, the body is secretly stolen and operated on by a group around FBI agent Norwood.

Some time later, a new series of murders begins in the city. The perpetrator's actions immediately remind everyone of the dead Whitman's handwriting. The victims are disfigured like holy martyrs . In addition, the perpetrator leaves references to the Bible on every corpse . Morrell benefits from the fact that he originally wanted to be a priest . Thanks to his theological knowledge, he can easily interpret the messages.

Although he is still suffering from the aftermath of the Whitman case, he and his partner, Monica Ricci, go on a hunt for the new psychopath . The dubious agent Norwood joins them. Later, Charlotte is also ready for reconciliation.

However, none of them know that a man named Schmidt, who used to work at Norwood, was the culprit. He seeks revenge and wants to murder everyone involved in the Whitman trial. But the names were never published.
