Ludwig Adam
Ludwig "Wickerl" Adam (born January 19, 1949 in Vienna ) is an Austrian musician. He became known, among other things, as the founder and front man of the music project Hallucination Company .
Ludwig Adam attended the Vienna Music Academy , did physical theater training and was a member of the Dramatic Center . In 1977 he founded the Hallucination Company, from which well-known musicians such as Falco , Hansi Lang , Geri Schuller and his son Zebo Adam (guitarist of the band Russkaja ) emerged. He had his first appearances in the HVZ (Hernalser amusement center, today's Metropol ).
At the end of the 90s he lived with his family in Scheibbs for some time . The artist, best known as Wickerl Adam , is sometimes referred to as Frank Zappa of Austria and, in addition to his musical work, also worked as a screenwriter, director and actor. In 2006 he was awarded the Austrian Amadeus Music Prize for his life's work. In April 2008 he received the Golden Merit Award of the State of Vienna .
