The Wicko [ ˈvʲit͡skɔ ], German Vietzker See , is a body of water in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It is located in Eastern Pomerania , in the area of ​​the rural community Postomino ( Pustamin ) in the district of Sławno ( Schlawe ).

The Vietzker See, just under 20 kilometers north of Schlawe , is a ground moraine lake . It is located in close proximity to the Baltic Sea . With a length of 5.1 km and a width of 3.7 km it covers an area of ​​10.59 km². The lake is only 0.1 m above sea level. It has a maximum depth of 6 m.

A terminal moraine runs through the middle of the lake, which continues as a stone pull in the Baltic Sea. It begins on the peninsula near the former eponymous place Wicko ( Vietzke ) in the south and extends over the Großer Stein to Wicko Morskie ( Vietzkerstrand ).

The eastern lake basin, on the bank of which before 1945 the now defunct Królewice ( Krolowstrand ) was located, is 5.30 meters deep. The western lake basin with the places Łącko ( Lanzig ) and Jezierzany ( Neuenhagen Amt ) only reaches a depth of 4.50 meters. The Klasztorna ( Klosterbach ) flows into this basin . The spit between lake and sea is over 1 kilometer wide. There are two shifting dunes on it . The outflow into the Baltic Sea at Jarosławiec ( Jershöft ), the Głównica ( Glawnitz ), has a river bed over 1 kilometer long. However, seawater rarely gets into the lake.
