Wicko (German Vietzke ) was before 1945 a village in Eastern Pomerania , which the 10.59 square kilometer Jezioro Wicko ( Vietzker lake was) his name and in 1945 the territory of the rural municipality Postomino ( Pustamin ) in district Sławno ( Slawno ) of the Province of West Pomeranian belonging has been. The place no longer exists today.

Vietzke was located on a peninsula that protrudes from the south into the Vietzker See , two kilometers northwest of the village Królewo ( Krolow ) and one kilometer northeast of Łącko ( Lanzig ). A narrow cul-de-sac still leads to the place of the village and branches off from the road Zaleskie ( Saleske ) - Barzowice ( Barzwitz ).

Before 1945 Vietzke was a Vorwerk of the Krolow estate, on which mainly cattle was raised. It consisted of three houses (with a barn and stables), in which families of employees of the estate administration lived.

Vietzke (also: Witzke and Vietzig ) was originally a von Puttkamer fiefdom since 1340 , which also included Görshagen (Górsko), Marsow (Matszewo) and Schlackow (Złakowo). It is likely that it came directly from the Swenzonen's possession to the von Puttkamer - probably descended from them. Until the sale of the entire Schlackow estate in 1910 to Count Wilhelm von Zitzewitz on Zitzewitz (Sycewice), it was continuously owned by the von Puttkamer, whose family had owned it for almost 600 years.

Around 1780 Vietzke had two outbuildings, a windmill and six cottages. The place was part of the municipality Krolow (Królewo) and belonged to the district of Stolp until 1876 , then to the district of Schlawe i. Pom. in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania . After 1945 it was named Wicko.

Before 1945 the residents of Vietzke were almost all Protestant . The place belonged to the parish Lanzig (Łącko) in the parish of Rügenwalde (Darłowo) of the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The parishioners were connected to the Lanziger Church - with the exception of the noble courts, whose residents visited the church in Marsow (Marszewo), since this place belonged to von Puttkamer 's property.

Before 1945, the school location for the children of Vietzke was Krolow (Królewo).
