Ernst Heinrich Christian Wilhelm von Zitzewitz , from 1909 Count von Zitzewitz , (* December 16, 1838 at Gut Zitzewitz near Symbow , Stolp district , Pomerania ; † November 20, 1925 at Zezenow estate , Stolp district) was a landowner and Prussian politician.

Wilhelm von Zitzewitz came from the old behind Pomeranian noble family Zitzewitz and was the son of Heinrich von Zitzewitz (1798-1864). Linked to the property of the family entourage Zitzewitz - Gatz - Nitzlin , established in 1901 and confirmed as sovereign in 1903, Wilhelm von Zitzewitz and his first-born descendants ( primogenitur ) were elevated to the rank of Count of Prussia by Kaiser Wilhelm II on September 24, 1909, as Rominten .

Zitzewitz married his first marriage on May 25, 1866 at Gut Rumbske Marie von Krockow (* February 2, 1845 at Gut Rumbske; † June 4, 1891 at Gut Zezenow), the daughter of the landowner Otto von Krockow , landlord on Rowen and others, and the Antonie von Bonin . There were eight children from this marriage. His second marriage was on July 4, 1893, in Berlin, with Ida von Natzmer (born March 27, 1853 at Gut Raden; † April 4, 1900 at Gut Zezenow) widowed von François , the daughter of the landowner Karl von Natzmer , landowner on Raden , and Bertha von Boehn . Finally, Zitzewitz married in third marriage on December 30, 1903 at Gut Labehn Armgard von Gutzmerow (born September 6, 1853 at Gut Labehn; † April 3, 1930 in Stolp , Pomerania), the daughter of the landowner Heinrich von Gutzmerow , landowner on Labehn, and Gertraud von Puttkamer .

Life

Zitzewitz was the founder and owner of the Fideikommiss Zitzewitz - Gatz - Nitzlin and landowner on Zezenow , Prebendow, Dargeröse , Schlackow , Krolow , Marsow , Görshagen , Vietzke , Klein Machmin , Schönwalde, Klein-Lüblow, Karlswalde and Pottack. The 17 noble estates in his possession totaled 11,500 hectares.

From 1890 to 1919 he was a member of the Pomeranian Provincial Parliament for the constituency of Stolp (16th to 47th Provincial Parliament). In 1900 he became a member of the Prussian mansion for life on presentation of the old and fortified properties in the Duchy of Wenden . Furthermore he was a royal Prussian chamberlain , a royal Prussian Rittmeister a. D., district deputy , legal knight of the Order of St. John and 6th head of his family.
