Subject
Nine-year-old Julius has an absent-minded father. Together with his girlfriend Elsa, he comes up with a plan for his father to find a wife. The two children fall in love with each other during their attempts to couple.
introduction
Nine year old Julius lives alone with his father. His father is a brilliant astronomy professor; only with the things of daily life he cannot get by at all. And so Julius has to do the daily housework. So it happens that he often has to postpone appointments with his girlfriend Elsa. That's why Elsa is angry with Julius.
Bulk
When the professor's nonsense leads to an apartment fire, it's enough for the two children. Elsa would like to finally spend more time with Julius, but how can that work when he has to take care of his father all the time? Eventually they get the idea that Julius father needs a woman to take care of him. But is the next problem already arising? How do you fall in love with your father?
The children now try all sorts of things to get the professor together with a woman. But nothing helps. Finally they get advice from Grandma Christa, who reads in the cards that the lady of the heart they are looking for is close by, but that the two have not yet found each other.
When Julius is late for an appointment with Elsa again because his father has done something again in his absent-mindedness, Elsa angrily separates from Julius. There is also trouble with the neighbor at home because loud noises come from her apartment. But no other resident in the apartment building heard this. The whole house only hears the professor's outbursts of anger, which is why all tenants are upset against him.
Elsa also has a new friend. Julius finds consolation from Nora Feldmeier, who a short time later turns out to be the neighbor from whose apartment the noises come. Finally Elsa reappears at Julius'. She has recognized that Julius is the right one for her because she only blushes when she kisses him.
Enough
Together, the two children come up with a plan to bring their father together with Nora. And the plan finally works. The riddle about the noises is also solved. The neighbor is a noisemaker and had her study soundproofed. But the noise could penetrate the apartment below through the chimney. Nora also turns out to be very chaotic, but since Julius and Elsa are now firmly together, they can share the work.
