Gudrun Ritter (born November 16, 1936 in Marienberg ) is a German film and theater actress and radio play speaker .

Life

She studied from 1956 to 1959 at the theater college in Leipzig. Her first engagement took her to the Deutsches Theater Berlin . Here and at the Berliner Ensemble she was seen in a large number of productions. She played the title roles in Miss Sara Sampson and Elektra , Elisabeth in Maria Stuart and Minna Scholz in Das Friedensfest .

In addition to the theater, she played in numerous cinema and television productions such as the Christmas classic Die Weihnachtsgans Auguste and the feature film Verbotene Liebe . In 2006 she was nominated for the German Television Award in the category Best Supporting Actress for her role in the episode The Happiness of Others in the ZDF series Bella Block . In 2010 the film Boxhagener Platz by Matti Geschonneck with Gudrun Ritter in the leading role came to German cinemas.

Her daughter Franziska Ritter is also an actress and theater director .
