Reviews

"A multi-layered (television) family drama that focuses on reconciliation with one's own past."

“Searching for home and identity, loving portrait of Transylvania, which has hardly been developed for tourism, plus a bit of an examination of the Ceausescu regime and preoccupation with the fate of the Transylvanian Saxons : there is indeed a lot that Enlen suggests in his film. His sensitive direction, atmospheric pictures and convincing acting performances make the Monday evening primetime flick an intelligent and entertaining profit. "

“What touches most in this film is its almost all-encompassing thematic load. "The Secret in Transylvania" has charged strands that would be enough for several 90-minute TV movies. So much dramatic intent was rare. [...] All of this is offered by "The Secret in Transylvania" in order to bind the viewer to a little-known place where the TV entertainment usually slips by. He is afraid of the disinterest of the mass audience. So you can't be angry with the film. Even if it sometimes drips with sentimentality and idyll. "
