Wiekau is a forest area built on with weekend houses on the territory of the city of Wildeshausen (administrative unit City III) in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg , and does not represent a separate administrative unit within the city of Wildeshausen. The existing infrastructure is essentially limited to six gravel roads. There is no lighting or sewerage.

Wiekau is located about 4 km north-west of the Wildeshaus city center between the Hunte, which runs north, and the K 242 district road in the south-west. There are around 200 weekend houses in the area, which is only accessible by a few paths .

To the northwest, the 15.9 is ha large nature reserve Glaner Heide with the Glaner bride , a Neolithic ensemble of four megaliths from the Neolithic period . To the south, right next to Wiekau, between the K 242 and the A 1 running south , is the Wildeshausen golf course .

The Brookbäke joins the Hunte to the east of Wiekau .
