The Wielenbach is an approximately 15 km long right tributary of the Lech in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau .
Upper course
The Wielenbach rises in a hilly moraine landscape about 700 m south of Feistenau at an altitude of 752 m.
From its source, the Wielenbach forms the border between the communities of Peiting and Wessobrunn .
course
The Wielenbach runs continuously in a north-westerly direction through the Schongau Forest.
First it takes the Schleicherbach from the left, then the Höllgraben from the left. This is followed by the Wieselbach from the right and finally the Steinigbach from the right south of Kronholz .
Finally, the Wielenbach flows about a kilometer north of Finsterau from the right into the Lech below Lech barrage 7 - Finsterau at 659 m above sea level. NHN .
The 16.1 km long Wielenbach flows about 93 meters below its origin and thus has a mean bed gradient of about 6 ‰.
