Wiesław Lechowicz (born December 22, 1962 in Dąbrowa Tarnowska , Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland ) is auxiliary bishop in Tarnów and delegate of the Polish Bishops' Conference for the pastoral care of Polish emigrants.

Life

After studying Catholic theology Wiesław Lechowicz was on May 24, 1987 the Bishop of Tarnów, Jerzy Karol Ablewicz , for priests ordained. He received his doctorate from the Pontifical University of Santa Croce in Rome.

On December 22, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Lambiridi and auxiliary bishop in Tarnów. He was ordained episcopate on February 16, 2008, by the Bishop of Tarnów, Wiktor Skworc ; Co- consecrators were Stanisław Cardinal Dziwisz , Archbishop of Kraków , and Archbishop Józef Kowalczyk , Apostolic Nuncio in Poland .
