Viktor Michailowitsch Bystrow ( Russian Виктор Михайлович Быстров ; born March 16, 1931 in Mytishchi , Russian Soviet Republic , Soviet Union ; † May 26, 1992 in Ramenski rajon , Moscow Oblast , Russia ) was a Russian flyweight boxer who competed for the Soviet Union until 1991 .

Career

Bystrow won the gold medal at the European Championships in 1963 in the Soviet capital Moscow . In 1962 he won the Soviet championships.

From 1961 to 1991 he coached the Zhukovsky city ​​youth team "Meteor" . From 1975 to 1978 he coached the Cuban youth team. His protégés included the later Olympic champions Juan Bautista Hernández and Armando Martínez .
