Juan Bautista Hernández
Juan Bautista Hernández Pérez (born December 24, 1962 in Pilón , Granma Province ) is a former Cuban boxer .
Hernández was Cuban bantamweight champion (-54 kg) in 1980 and 1982. At the 1980 Olympic Games , he won after victories over Sándor Farkas ( Hungary ) (4: 1), Ayele Mohamed ( Ethiopia ) (RSC 2nd), Geraldi Issaick ( Tanzania ) (RSC 1st), and Michael Anthony ( Guyana ) (5: 0), the final, which he won against the Venezuelan Bernardo Piñango with 5: 0 judges' votes. In 1982, Hernández also won gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games .
