William Smith

William Smith (* 4. July 1904 in Johannesburg , South Africa ; † 20th December 1955 ) was a South African boxer in the bantamweight .

In 1924, Smith took part in the Summer Olympics in Paris . There he defeated Harry Wolff from Sweden , Jacques Lemouton from France , Jean Ges also from France and Salvatore Tripoli from Italy on points and became Olympic champion .
