Viktor Romanovich Prjaschnikow ( Russian Виктор Романович Пряжников * 23. December 1933 in Elektrostal , † 17th April 2008 in Moscow ) was a Soviet - Russian hockey player , the 23 caps for the Soviet national team completed while was twice European champion and the Olympic Winter Games Won the bronze medal in 1960 .

Career

Prjaschnikow started his career in his hometown Elektrostal , where he worked for the team of the Kulturhaus Karl Marx and later for Chimik Elektrostal . In 1954 he was delegated to Krylya Sowetow Moscow , where he was active until 1965 and in 1957 won the Soviet championship . Overall, he scored 166 goals in 400 games in the top Soviet league, the Klass A .

After the end of his career, he worked as a junior coach at DJuSSch SK “Krasnaja Oktjabr” ( Russian ДЮСШ СК “Красный Октябрь” ).

International

On January 9, 1955 Prjaschnikow was in a game against Sweden for the first time for the Soviet national team on the ice. His international career was crowned with a bronze medal at the 1960 Winter Olympics . He also won the silver medal at the 1959 World Cup and was European champion at both tournaments .

For the national team, he scored a total of 8 goals in 23 international matches. On February 28, 1960, he played his last international match. In 1991 he was named the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR .
