Wiktorija Walentinowna Postnikowa ( Russian Виктория Валентиновна Постникова ; born January 12, 1944 in Moscow ) is a Russian pianist . Since 1969 she was the wife and regular concert and recording partner of the conductor Gennady Nikolayevich Roschdestvensky .

Postnikowa was trained by Jakow Flier at the Moscow Conservatory and achieved success in several international competitions: Chopin Competition 1965 (distinction), International Pianoforte Competition Leeds 1966 (2nd Prize), Tchaikovsky Competition , in which she won third prize in 1970. In 2004 she was honored with the People's Artist of the Russian Federation award.

Postnikowa is also known for her interpretation of technically very demanding works of the Russian-Soviet school such as Sergei Sergejewitsch Prokofiev's 2nd piano concerto or Alfred Schnittke's concerto for piano and strings . Postnikova, whose playing stands out with a particularly strong attack, is so far (as of 2019) the only female pianist who has recorded all five of Prokofiev's piano concertos.
