The former Wildbad Weißenburg is located on the southern city wall of the listed old town of Weißenburg in Bavaria in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . The building with the address Wildbadstraße 11 is registered under the monument number D-5-77-177-466 as an architectural monument in the Bavarian monument list.

The building of the fountain house was dated to the year 1537, the building of the bath house to the year 1538. The healing spring , whose healing effect was confirmed by tests in the 17th century , brought the town a busy spa and bathing business. Two paintings that are exhibited today in the Imperial City Museum Weissenburg bear witness to this . In the 19th century the spa was only used by locals. From 1868 to 1869, today's classicist building was built in clear neo-renaissance forms with a large ballroom on the upper floor, which was only called a public bath and not a spa . Films were shown in the building from the First World War . After the Second World War , a new bath was built and the old public bath was used as an administration and school room. In 2001 the listed building was renovated. The Wildbadsaal is used for events by associations .

The palace-like saddle roof structure has a main wing facing the gable side, which is flanked by two slightly lower wing structures. The building is made of sandstone . The corner pilasters and the divisions are made of natural stone .
