Wilde Zeiten was a punk rock band from Mainz , Rhineland-Palatinate, founded in 2004 . The band had achieved a high profile in the German punk scene. She has played, among other things, on the Force Attack , Punk im Pott and the Spirit from the Streets in front of up to 9000 spectators.

history

The band was founded in 2004 by Michel (formerly Untergangskommando ) and Matze (formerly nothing learned ). In 2004 some concerts were played, in 2005 they went on tour in Germany and concerts were played together with Betontod or Planlos . At first some songs were played by Michel's old band Untergangskommando due to the lack of their own songs, but now there are only a few, as four studio albums have already been released.

The band had their greatest successes with songs like Du bist Nazi , 5 star punks , love letters or 1000 miles . The most famous song in the live set, however, is still the Untergangskommando song Punk & Police .

Her lyrics are mostly about fun, a sense of community and partying, although there are also political songs.

The punk rock band's records are released by the self-managed Rheinmusikproduktion label and the Broken Silence distributor .

At the beginning of 2013, drummer David left the band after almost 7 years, who was replaced by Mezzo, who had previously played for the Frankfurt German punk band Strafat . However, he left the band after a year, the current drummer is Alex B.

Since March 2016 the band has been strengthened by Jente on guitar.

On May 7, 2017, the band announced the breakup after the current concert series on their website.
