Wilfred HG Neuse

Wilfred HG Neuse (* 1949 in Schwarmstedt ) is a German photo artist who deals with the medium of photography in addition to medical and scientific photography.

Life

Wilfred HG Neuse, who was born in the Lüneburg Heath, began studying graphics in 1972 at the Werkkunstschule Düsseldorf after completing his typography training. He completed his studies in 1976 with Klaus Kammerichs at the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Düsseldorf. After initially studying philosophy at Heinrich Heine University , he worked as a freelance photographer in various studios. Under Klaus Kammerichs and Gerhard Vormwald he got a teaching position for analog photography with portrait and studio photography from 1978 to 2007 at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. From 1984 to 2011 Neuse headed the photo department of the dermatological clinic of the university clinic at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf under Gerd Plewig , Thomas Ruzicka and Bernhard Homey and brought the department to an internationally recognized reputation. His medical photos in numerous dermatological and histological atlases as well as photodynamic diagnostics were unmistakable and pioneers in this discipline.

Neuse works as a photo artist and lives in Düsseldorf. His fields of activity include art and media. The focus of his internationally recognized work is artistic photography and free art projects. Three photographic focal points have emerged.

His current main project - TRUE FACES II-III, a portrait project that he is introducing in Ein Hod , Israel, shows many well-known and unknown artists who are portrayed according to a three-part concept and which will be continued with German artists.

His Feuchten Kammern , a Polaroid photo project, is a work-in-progress project that Wilfred HG Neuse has been carrying out continuously since 2001.

In addition, he carried out numerous conceptual photography exhibitions, campaigns and projects in collaboration with other photographers, painters and sculptors. Such as B. INTERN-EXTERN a photo exhibition project 1989 with international artists as well as ENERGIE with Rüdiger Quass von Deyen, Marcellino and Charles Wilp or ENCOUNTERS a photo art campaign on the Rhine-Herne Canal with Hanne Horn and the Kunstverein Oberhausen. Wilfred HG Neuse is an appointed member of the German Society for Photography eV (DGPh) in Cologne, board member of the BBK-Düsseldorf of the Federal Association of Visual Artists and a member of the collecting society Bild-Kunst , Bonn.
