Wilfried Bernhardt

Wilfried Bernhardt (* 1954 in Lübeck ) is a former German political official . From December 2009 to November 2014 he was State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and Europe .

Life and work

Bernhardt studied in Augsburg law . He started his career at the University of Trier , where he worked as a research assistant from 1981. In 1986 he received his doctorate in Bayreuth .

After working briefly as a public prosecutor in Augsburg, Bernhardt moved to the Federal Ministry of Justice (BMJ), where he held various positions, including a. as personal advisor to Justice Minister Hans A. Engelhard ( FDP ). From 1991 to 1996 Bernhardt worked as a department head in the representation of the state of Saxony-Anhalt at the federal government , after which he returned to the BMJ. There he rose to managerial positions, became head of unit and later head of subdivision. Most recently he was the ministerial representative of the BMJ for information technology and a member of the IT council of the federal government .

Wilfried Bernhardt is married and has three children.

Since December 1, 2009, Wilfried Bernhardt has been State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and Europe, led by Jürgen Martens (FDP). After the FDP's participation in government ended, his position as State Secretary ended in November 2014. His successor as State Secretary is Andrea Franke .
