Wilfried Kuckelkorn

Wilfried Kuckelkorn (born August 30, 1943 in Zobten am Berge , Wroclaw district ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After an apprenticeship as a plumber, Kuckelkorn attended the Administration and Business Academy in Cologne and held various functions in production at the Ford works in Cologne , as a works council member, managing director of the works council, shop steward of IG Metall , (deputy) works council chairman and general works council chairman of Ford Germany , Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the European Works Council of Ford Europe . In 2002 he became chairman of the supervisory board of Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG .

In 1963 Kuckelkorn became a member of the SPD. He is chairman of the working group for employee issues in the Middle Rhine district. From 1994 to 2004 he was a member of the European Parliament for the Group of the Party of European Socialists . A re-election in the 2004 European elections failed. In Parliament he was a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy, the Committee on Budgets and the Delegation for relations with Japan . On November 19, 2004, Kuckelkorn was awarded the badge of honor of the West German Chamber of Crafts .
