Wilhelm Bolte (born May 25, 1859 in Münster , † July 25, 1941 ) was a German sculptor .

Wilhelm Bolte studied art in Berlin from 1881 to 1886. He was a student of the Münster sculptors August Schmiemann and Heinrich Fleige . Bolte was mainly active in his home with sacred works. In 1905 he created a memorial to commemorate the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 , which stood on the Aegidiischanze until the First World War . Another memorial from his studio was the memorial to the priest and ornithologist Bernard Altum .
