Wilhelm Christian von dem Bussche

Wilhelm Christian von dem Bussche (* 1756 ; † January 3, 1817 in Dessau ) was a German landowner and governor .

Bussche came from the noble family of the same name and was the son of the later Minister Johann Clamor August von dem Bussche . He was with Sophia Louise Elisabeth Countess von Schlitz called von Görtz, related. married by Raoul (1771–1843). The wife was the daughter of General Karl Friedrich Adam von Schlitz . Their daughter Anna married Friedrich Tellemann .

Wilhelm Christian von dem Bussche was the lord of Cösitz, Walbeck , Quenstedt, Kupferberg, Nienburg etc. He entered the military and became a royal Dutch lieutenant colonel and an electoral colonel in Hesse . In 1811 he was electoral Saxon and Prussian governor in Freyburg (Unstrut) . At the beginning of the 19th century he had the Planteurhaus built in Walbeck.

He stood u. a. with Gleim and Wieland in correspondence.
