Wilhelm Erath

Wilhelm Erath (born May 30, 1820 in Horb am Neckar ; † June 23, 1908 there ) was a Württemberg businessman and politician.

Life

Wilhelm Erath attended the Latin school in Horb. Later he was a merchant and city councilor in Horb. He was a member of the board of the district trade association, the trade school council and the fire service board of directors. From 1865 he was also a commercial judge. From 1874 to 1899 he was the town councilor of Horb.

Erath was a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates from 1862 to 1876 for the Oberamt Horb and the Democratic People's Party . From 1868 to 1870 he was also a member of the customs parliament as a member of the constituency of Württemberg 16 ( Freudenstadt , Horb , Oberndorf , Herrenberg , Sulz ) .
