Wilhelm Geißler (engineer)
Wilhelm Ernst Moritz Geißler (born June 30, 1875 in Leipzig ; † February 12, 1937 in Dresden ) was a German civil engineer and university professor at the TH Dresden .
After graduating from high school in Brandenburg (Havel) in 1894, he studied mathematics and civil engineering at the TH Dresden. During his studies he became a member of the Association of German Students in Dresden . In 1903 he became a government master builder for the Leipzig train station , in 1904 a city building inspector in Berlin-Charlottenburg , in 1909 a city building officer in Nordhausen , and in 1920 a town building officer in Duisburg . From 1925 to 1937 he taught as a professor for urban civil engineering and road construction at the TH Dresden. He headed the research center for road construction at the Dresden Testing and Materials Testing Office. In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler .
