Wilhelm Hadorn

Wilhelm Hadorn (born January 28, 1869 in Bern ; † November 17, 1929 there ) was a Reformed theologian in Switzerland .

After he was pastor at the Mauritius Church in Saanen , in Köniz and from 1903 at the Bern Minster , he became a full professor for the New Testament at the University of Bern in 1922 and for Swiss Church History in 1925. Hadorn was a member of the Schwizerhüsli Basel , a founder of the Zähringia Bernensis and a member of the Greifswalder Wingolf .

From 1918 to 1922 he chaired the Synodal Council of the Reformed Church of the Canton of Bern and from 1920 to 1921 he was the first President of the Swiss Evangelical Church Federation .

In 1909 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Geneva .
