Wilhelm Heinrich (lawyer)

Wilhelm Heinrich (born February 15, 1882 in Friesack ; † June 23, 1970 ) was a German lawyer and politician.

The doctorate lawyer Wilhelm Heinrich worked from 1908 as a lawyer and notary. From 1908 he was a member of the Liberal Association , then from 1910 to 1918 of the Progressive People's Party . From 1918 he belonged to their successor organization DDP / DStP . Wilhelm Heinrich settled in Szczecin in 1923 , where he worked as a civil judge until 1945. From 1929 to 1933 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania .

After the Second World War , he joined the East German CDU in 1945 . In July 1945 he became a curator at the Universities of Rostock and Greifswald . In the same year he was appointed judge at the civil senate of the higher regional court in Schwerin. From the end of 1945 to the end of 1949, he was Erich Schlesinger's successor as head of the Mecklenburg State Justice Administration . From May 1947 to July 1950 he was a member of the CDU regional executive committee.

Wilhelm Heinrich was chief judge and chairman of the 1st civil senate at the GDR Supreme Court from 1949 to 1964 . Since 1954 he was a member of the main board of the CDU.

In 1955 he was awarded the Silver Patriotic Order of Merit .
