Wilhelm Heinrich Maria Engelhard
Wilhelm Heinrich Maria Engelhard (born August 24, 1862 in Münster , † May 26, 1917 in Trier ) was a German politician and district administrator .
Live and act
Wilhelm Engelhard was the son of Mr and Mrs William Engelhard ( Privy Council of War was born, appointed director of the Ministry of War) and Franziska Thonet and studied for his matriculation examination at school Burgsteinfurt on 13 August 1881 the Universities of Leipzig and Berlin law . On February 21, 1885, he passed the examination for trainee lawyer at the Higher Regional Court of Celle with subsequent appointment as trainee lawyer at the Berlin Court of Appeal . Two years later he became a government trainee with the Königsberg government . After working as a government assessor for the governments in Merseburg and Trier, the government commissioned him on August 23, 1898 with the provisional administration of the Wiedenbrück district office . His definitive appointment as district administrator was on April 10, 1899. He remained in this office until August 31, 1909, because on September 1 he received an order for transfer to the Trier government as a senior administrator . The reason for this was probably the outcome of the Reichstag elections in 1907. On April 24, 1917, he had to retire as administrative director due to illness. Shortly afterwards, on May 26th, he died of a stroke.
