Wilhelm Hoch (born December 23, 1893 in Kollnau , † October 3, 1954 in Schopfheim ) was a German lawyer and politician ( BCSV , CDU ).

Life

Wilhelm Hoch was born the son of a farmer. After attending the Friedrich-Gymnasium in Freiburg im Breisgau , he took part in the First World War as a soldier from 1914 to 1918 . Due to an injury he was not used at the front from 1915 to 1917. After the war, he began studying law at the universities of Freiburg and Munich , which he completed in 1921 with the first state examination in law. He completed his legal clerkship at courts, passed the Second State Exam in Law in 1923 and then entered the judicial service as a court assessor. 1922 doctorate he attended the University of Freiburg for Doctor of Law . From 1924 he practiced as a lawyer, first in Waldshut , then in Schopfheim.

During the Weimar Republic , Hoch was a member of the Center Party . After the Second World War he participated in the founding of the BCSV, which later became the Baden regional association of the CDU. He was active in the peace movement, was a city ​​councilor in Schopfheim and was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden from 1946 to 1947 .
