Wilhelm Kübler

Wilhelm Kübler (born May 8, 1873 in Berlin , † June 4, 1919 in Dresden ) was a German electrical engineer and university professor who gained importance primarily as a high-voltage engineer .

The son of the philologist and grammar school director Otto Kübler and brother of the philologist and lawyer Bernhard Kübler first worked as an intern at Siemens & Halske in Berlin for one year after graduating from high school in 1890 , before he began studying at the Technical University (Berlin-) Charlottenburg . After graduating in 1895, he worked as an engineer for various Berlin companies (including again at Siemens & Halske). In 1902 he was appointed extraordinary (from 1905 full ) professor at the Technical University of Dresden . Until his death, he represented the fields of electrical engineering as well as lighting, power and rail systems. From 1903 to 1906 he was the publisher of the magazine " Elektro Bahnen", a magazine for the entire electrical transport system , from 1905 " Elektro Bahnen und Betriebe", a magazine for traffic and transportation .
