Wilhelm Knoblauch

Wilhelm Karl Friedrich Knoblauch (born January 23, 1874 in Ilversgehofen ; † November 24, 1939 in Wolfratshausen ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD Hesse ) and a former member of the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

family

Wilhelm Knoblauch was the son of Wilhelm Knoblauch and Emilie Knoblauch née Eberhardt. Wilhelm Knoblauch married Emelie Luise Adelheid Georgina nee Emmerich on October 3, 1898 .

education and profession

Wilhelm Knoblauch worked as a typesetter's assistant until 1907. He became district chairman of the Association of German Book Printers (VdDB). From 1906 to 1908 he was chairman of the trade union cartel in Darmstadt. From August 1907 to January 1923 he worked as editor of the Hessischer Volksfreund in Darmstadt. Wilhelm Knoblauch became district chairman of the printing association in 1914 and chairman of OKK-Darmstadt in 1919 . From February 1923 to 1928 he was managing director of the regional association Hessen / Hessen-Nassau of the main association of German health insurances with seat in Darmstadt and from 1928 to April 1933 managing director of the Landesverband Bayern with seat in Nuremberg. He had been in Munich since 1932 and in Wolfratshausen since 1934.

politics

During the November Revolution he was chairman of the Workers 'and Soldiers' Council in Darmstadt in November 1918, and in December 1918 he was sent as a delegate to the 1st Council Congress in Berlin. December 1918 to April 1919 he was a member of the Central Council of the German Socialist Republic in Berlin

From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the state parliament.
