Wilhelm Bone Hauer

Wilhelm Kniehauer (born July 23, 1878 in Meiningen , † June 28, 1939 in Hamburg ) was a German officer , most recently a general of the cavalry .

Life

Kniehauer commanded the 3rd Cavalry Division in Kassel from November 1, 1931 to November 30, 1933 . From May 1935 to March 1939 he worked as the commanding general of the X Army Corps and commander of Military District X (Hamburg) .

On July 2, 1939, Hitler took part in a state act staged with great propaganda effort on Adolf-Hitler-Platz, the Rathausmarkt, for the deceased general of the cavalry, who was one of the supporters of the NSDAP.
