Wilhelm Ludwig Dietz (* 1785 in Karlsruhe ; † April 8, 1837 ibid) was a Baden ministerial official and director of the United Forests and Mines.

Life

Wilhelm Ludwig Dietz studied law at the University of Heidelberg from 1808 and became one of the founders of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg in 1810 . Dietz entered the administrative service in Baden and became a tax auditor in Lörrach in 1813 . In 1816 he became a district councilor in Freiburg im Breisgau . In 1832 he was Finance Ministerialrat in Karlsruhe and director of the newly created special authority of the United Forests and Mines in Baden, which was responsible for the administration of the domain forests of the Grand Duchy and the numerous mines in the Odenwald and Black Forest . He was succeeded by Gustav Adolph von Rutschmann .
