Wilhelm Müller (born April 9, 1834 in Zülzendorf , † July 27, 1902 in Berlin ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and most recently commander of the 12th division .

Career

He joined the 10th Infantry Regiment on April 1, 1853 as a one-year volunteer . There he was appointed portepeef ensign on September 14, 1854 and second lieutenant on September 11, 1855. After a long service with the rifle examination commission founded in Spandau in 1855, he first came to the cadet house in Bensberg as an educator. He was then transferred to the Cadet House in Berlin as a teacher in April 1861 . He stayed there until April 10, 1862; that day he was promoted to Prime Lieutenant and transferred to the Cadet Corps. During the mobilization for the German War of 1866 against Austria, he was transferred to the 18th Infantry Regiment . He took this regiment into the field, where he was able to acquire the Order of the Red Eagle with Swords (4th class?) He also took part with his regiment in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71, after which he was aggregated as a major in September 1875 and transferred to the 49th Infantry Regiment as a regular staff officer in May of the following year .
