Wilhelm Otto Ullmann

Wilhelm Otto Ullmann (also: W. Otto Ullmann , born June 12, 1887 in Rähnitz near Dresden , † after 1959) was a German educator and writer .

Life

Wilhelm Otto Ullmann was the son of a teacher. Ullmann completed a teachers' seminar and then worked as a primary school teacher and rector in Dresden . From 1914 to 1917 he was a soldier in the First World War. In 1918 he became a member of the DDP for one year. From 1921 Ullmann worked as a school principal. In 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP .

In 1959 he left the GDR and moved to West Germany .

In addition to his educational work, Wilhelm Otto Ullmann wrote novels , books for children and young people and plays for school theater since 1919 . A large part of his works, which were created during the Third Reich , have a distinctly system-compliant character and were on the “ list of literature to be segregated ” after 1945 in the Soviet zone and the early GDR .
