Wilhelm Probst (born August 11, 1912 in Ühlingen , † January 22, 1979 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German politician of the DP and CDU and a member of the German Bundestag .

Wilhelm Probst was a farmer by profession . From 1934 to 1945 he was a professional soldier in the Wehrmacht and made it up to captain and battalion leader . During the Second World War he was taken prisoner of war . After the war he worked as an independent businessman in the iron and steel trade. From 1953 to 1956 he was a city ​​councilor . In 1952 he was a co-founder of DP Baden, until 1957 managing director of the Baden-Württemberg regional association and then district chairman of southern Baden.

In 1953 he ran unsuccessfully for the German Party (DP) for the Bundestag . In 1957 he succeeded in entering the third German Bundestag through the Baden-Württemberg state list of the DP . There he belonged to the faction of the DP until July 1, 1960 , after which he was non-attached. On September 20, 1960, he joined the CDU / CSU parliamentary group . In 1961 he ran for the Bundestag again on the CDU's state list of Baden-Württemberg, but was not elected to parliament.
