Wilhelm Rodenberg

Wilhelm Rodenberg , actually Wilhelm Meyer-Rodenberg (born August 9, 1892 in Westerstede , † May 29, 1955 in Osnabrück ) was a German lawyer and politician ( NSDAP ).

Wilhelm Rodenberg was born on August 9, 1892 in Westerstede as the son of Peter Friedrich Nicolaus Meyer and Emmy. Rodenberg born. His brother was Major Karl-Peter Meyer-Rodenberg.

From 1915 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . Wilhelm Rodenberg joined the NSDAP on May 1, 1932; even before that, he was employed by the Oldenburg state . From 1924 he was a legation counselor at the Oldenburg representation in Prussia. From 1934 to 1935 he was briefly Senator for Labor, Technology and Welfare in Bremen. After the death of Bernhard Eggers , he succeeded him as the district president of the Osnabrück administrative district . For the party he was under Carl Röver Gauhauptstelleleiter in the main office for civil servants for the Gau Weser-Ems .

He joined the SS in 1943 and in 1945 became an honorary SS leader at the Reich Security Main Office . Also in 1943 he became an assessor at the People's Court .

From February to July 1942, he was also given the office of regional president of the Aurich administrative district. The recall from Aurich was initiated by the Reich Minister of the Interior, Wilhelm Frick , allegedly because his presence was necessary in Osnabrück, which was heavily bombed. Through intrigues within the party, he was more and more disempowered and sidelined, especially the new Gauleiter Paul Wegener was involved.

From May 1945 he was interned in Recklinghausen by the Allies . After his internment he lived penniless with Melle for four years . He then worked as an assistant at a lawyer in Osnabrück.
