history
A part of the old Kurfürstenweg runs parallel to the Calenberger Siefen as a ravine . The path was used until the middle of the 19th century to transport charcoal to the Dürscheider Hütte ironworks. Several old road and boundary stones are still preserved. These are labeled CTC 1755 . CTC stands for Carl Theodor Churfürst , Duke Karl Theodor von Jülich-Berg .
