Wilhelm Schneider (politician, 1958)

Wilhelm Schneider (born September 19, 1958 ) is a German local politician from Bavaria . Since May 1, 2014 he is district administrator of the district of Haßberge in Unterfranken . He is a member of the CSU .

Life

Wilhelm Schneider attended the Maroldsweisach elementary school from 1964 to 1969 and in 1978 passed the Abitur at the Friedrich-Rückert-Gymnasium in Ebern . He then completed an apprenticeship as a senior civil servant at the Deutsche Bundespost as a graduate in administration. From 1981 he was employed in structural engineering at the Bamberg telecommunications office and in 1992 became HR manager at Deutsche Telekom in Bamberg. He is married and has three children.

Political career

Schneider was a local councilor from 1984 to 2002, and then first mayor of the market town of Maroldsweisach until 2014. At the same time, he was a district councilor from 1996 to 2014 and from 2013 the parliamentary group leader of the CSU in the district council of Haßberge. In the local elections on March 16, 2014, he was elected district administrator and took office on May 1, 2014.
